By the time it got to the point I was bothered enough to speak up, I didn’t want to because I don’t want to work it out at this point, I just want him to leave.  If I told him what was bothering me, he’d wanna try to fix it or work it out (which would last about a week) so I just asked him to move out.

its not that I mind sharing food and cooking for friends and whatnot, I’ve been doing it a year and a half - its that he’s a man in his 40s who does literally nothing for himself.  It’s never been reciprocated and I think I finally snapped.

oof, noticed it's almost universal to have conflict food wise and cleaning when you have roomates. One must be lucky to get nice ones. 
I mean tell him how it is, and alternative is to ask him to make dinner and leave leftover for you too since he had all of yours.
