I can relate to that. Mostly hurted me, because I already looked so different than other kids. 
Others had this beautiful blonde hair or maybe that cute brown hair and what did I have? Black. 
I hated being different and lost myself because of that. But nowadays i'm happy I have black hair. xD
But I lost myself and still looking if I ever find myself again the way I used to be before changing myself oof.
