height requirement in relationships
Pavlov

ok so i was just casually strolling on twitter like i do everyday and as usual i ended up in a dispute and because i lack self control and i have a thing for getting into arguments i went into it

and its basically that some men thinks its superficial of women to require men to be taller than them in relationships, whats your opinion about it, are men justified being mad about it?  do you have a height requirement for your potential future dates personally?

I don't, but ppl like different things, same as some men like fat women and some do not, its just a preference and ppl shouldn't b mad at that

If you meet someone who thinks height is a requirement for them to be able to love you and you feel offended by that, it just means you should stay clear of that person
yes, it's superficial, but then there's people who are only into brunettes and that's basically the same thing
feel like this shouldn't be it? don't get involved with people who think it's a must
it's not that difficult and actually the mature thing to do - which is the reason why people can't let it rest and fight over it, because humans are idiots and think their opinion is the ultimate truth to live by

it's just a preference. sucks to be rejected cuz of height but what can you do

when you say requirements i'm imagining like a list of traits you want in a potential partner and that's just weird and is gonna leave you very lonely, but i would def prefer a person to be same height or taller than me anything else would feel awkward for some reason idk why

I kinda laughed at this, it's so true thought

Anyways i feel like it's personal preference and most people have that, height is just yet another one. The same way some women don't want short men, some men don't want tall girls either. I mean it's an endless fight for the meaningless.

I agree with that people are into certain things, even though I don't even understand why height is an issue for some people, but I saw something that made me laugh

It was a tinder convo and a girl asked a guy how tall he was, he replied and she said he was too short. but when he asked her how much she weighed she got all offended and said it was something she couldn't control. Buuut does she expect him to fucking grow 2 inches just  to meet her height expectations?

idk i feel like a lot of men (at least the ones i know) have very high standards for the women they date so i don't think it's wrong for girls to have certain preferences, too

i dont see how that means youre an idiot, i think recognising and accepting that human behaviour isnt logical is the smartest thing to do, we thrive the best when we have our own beliefs i suppose

It is superficial but some people put more care into appearance and I guess it's nothing wrong with that, it's in the end those who has these criterias who are dating and might miss out on meeting great people because of it

edit; too many typos

i’m a tall woman and growing up i heard all the time that i will Never find a man because no man wants to date a woman taller than them. It was both men and women who said that. Anyway i think everyone has preferences but i think it doesn’t hurt to try date a person outside them. I don’t have any preferences myself. And my mom is dating a man who is like at least 5cm shorter than her and neither of them are sad/mad about it.
