i told doug that we used to say like 'if someone was gonna shoot up the school it would be soandso the creepy loner' and how that was like casual conversation at lunch in high school like debating who the school shooter was gonna be and doug was like surprised by that like columbine didnt happen until around when he was graduating high school people didnt like sit aroound discussing who would shoot up the school if the school ever got shot up
i wonder if vp europeans talk like that in high school or if thats a uniquely american culture thing. 'hey be nice to him he might shoot up the school'
OMG AND WHAT ABOUT WORK???
I've definitely worked with a few that had me thinking, "I hope I'm not working there when this person is fired or I hope he remembers those days I shared my lunch with him".
when i worked at the movie theatre that shooting at aurora colorado during batman happened so we all had to go to a meeting real early one morning and watch a video from homeland security about what to do in an active shooter situation and we didnt take it serious enough so we all had to sit down individually with a manager later that week to watch the video again and then we all spent a lot of time during work talking about where we would hide and how we hoped carter would save us (cause he had jsut got back from being in the army and he got hot in the army dude) but also our managers specifically said 'do not be a hero'. and sales were down. like crazy. should have had packed theatres that weekend for batman but fuckin nobody came out for like a month sales were down.
