a month ago I really got into Kung Fu
so I went at this place with my friend and everyone's super friendly and great and yeah
but my friend and I noticed, that some things are a little off
for example
we have one person centered, our 'master'.
that is not unusual for that kind of sports but
some people believe that everything he says is the one and only truth
and he tries to tell people what's good and what's bad
he is basically selling his philosophy as the absolut right thing
(I've heard that's what cult leader do)
another thing is that all the courses are really expensive
we have a so called 'summer-retreat' where we do Kung Fu, Qi Gong and sing Mantras all day for a week
and it costs 450€
but other kung fu schools do the same stuff for half the price and
I wanted to take part of the retreat, but some financial things came inbetween so
I told the master, that I couldn't pay for the retreat because of these financial things and that I would not participate
and he responded, that I couldn't get out of the retreat anymore because it's too short term
but the retreat would have been in two weeks
he also told me, I shouldn't worry about the money but like
boy I have 300 bucks per month, of course I worry about it, lol
then I told another member that the master wouldn't let me out of the retreat and she smiled and said 'Good.'
things are starting to get creepy tho
but maybe I'm just overreacting lol
