Depends a lot. And since I want kids, I would find it pretty weird if he wanted kids but not pets, excluding allergies/fears of course.

Not sure. I can understand why my partner wouldn't want a cat or dog but I don't see how a hamster would be a problem. Anyway, it would depend whether or not he would let us have someone else's pet over from time to time

Or I don't know? I haven't had a pet in 3 years now and while I miss having a hamster or something, I can live without one. The neighborhood cats seem to like me though lolol

It would have to be more complicated to be a dealbreaker. I'm not letting go of any of my plants and I'm pretty sure at least four of the plants in my collection is downright toxic to pets (either in the form as traditional pets or as children).
