dear vp pls lemme kno if i'm the asshole bc ion wna make a reddit account just to post this lmfao

but anyway me and my friends have dinner together very often and especially since lockdown have been doing a lot of groceries for each other, so we all signed up for splitser which lets you share expenses n does all the math for u which is super convenient

now i'm rly good at keeping my receipts and fill them in monthly, and am also the person that does most of the groceries etc.

at this point after about 2-3 months i'm owed 160 euros, 100 from friend A and around 60 from friend B

except friend A also gets groceries and things sometimes and is really bad at keeping track of her expenses and filling them in on time etc. like. i don't think she owes me the full 100 euros if she'd fill in her own stuff too

so am i being an asshole for asking her to pay me back asap, even when i know she's not mentally/emotionally up for filling in her own receipts?

also i honestly wouldn't even ask, except that i'm really broke this month and generally do not have enough money to cover my expenses. and that's after i made some really big changes last month to my expenses so that i should have saved 150 euros in october, i'm still coming up way short at the end of this month

If friend A also shops but doesn't keep track, I wouldn't ask for nor expect the full amount.

I don't think it's being an asshole to ask for it back, especially if you need it..  nor do I understand explaining why when it was your money to begin with.

If she shops too but no receipts, I'd only ask for 75 back
