a magician came to my school n did a bunch of tricks and it transitioned into talking about exercise (somehow?) and they asked who knew certain excersies and because I didn't know sit ups and pull ups were different I said "I can do pull ups" and this 40 year old man looked at me, a fat 11 year old, and was like "y-you can?" and I nodded super confidently and went up on the stage like he asked along w 2 other kids and he was like "yo kid we don't have a pull up bar what do you-" and I stopped him and asked "I need a bar!?" and he said yes and I said "oh i thought I just needed to sit and lie down and sit up again" and it clicked for him "OOOOH YOU MEANT SIT UPS" so I did sit ups in front of everyone in my grade and then after he left that was the first time someone flipped me off and told me to go to hell so I gave him a huge speech about where he'll end up later in life cause backt hen I had confidence and now I wonder how that day changed my life
