i feel very strange about the idea of fanfiction, because I find a lot that are actually written pretty well n if I forget that they're written w real people in mind I'm like "oh i can enjoy this" and then... i remember I'm reading stall, a harry styles fanfic that, yes, includes smut and then I'm sat there cuddled in my blanket liked "oh wow uh this.......................................................................... how................................................" and then do my best not to scream because the writing is actually p good, I like the characters, the main character is very sweet and understanding, I love the friends, Harry as a character is interesting but then someone will say "THE Harry styles" n I'm suddenly spiraling like "am i really fkn reading a fanfic rn??????????????? like??? what if someone wrote a fanfic about me? i'd rather die" but then I HAVE to continue because there's drama going on

anyways I'm curious what your opinions are, I get both sides
