I say sit down and take the time to make a budget. Rent, food, transport, savings, monthly expenses and spending money.Ā
You can save money and live for practically nothing, if youāre disciplined. I have a super low food costs, cause I generally donāt order fastfood or eat out, and I shop sales. I still eat good! Plus this helps me not live from paycheck to paycheck. Donāt Impulse buy. Teach yourself to really evaluate if you need whatever thing you are about to buy. Plus be better at looking for a second hand option before buying from new. This will often save you a lot of money.
Never buy anything you canāt really afford. Nor should you buy anything and pay it later. Donāt take loans unless itās necessary and youāve done your research.
Dont stress. Find an evening āthingā that makes you happy to wind down. I, for example, drink Christmas tea year round in the evening if Iāve had a hard days cause it makes me happy!(I donāt drink it every night). Health trumps grades. Do your best, then trust that itās enough
Try to visit family(if theyāre not miserable assholes) every week or every other week. Family is important and they help keep you grounded. Plus call your mom often.
Choose experiences over material things. Buy a new tv, or go skydiving with your friends? Go skydiving. You remember experiences, and will look back on them with glee
Iāll add more if I remember anymoreĀ
