ah yes, I remember a teacher in high school had me and that gay dude debate gay marriage in English class bc some state in the US just legalized it... fun times, I had to defend 'my stance' of being against it and it was so fucking awkward bc the dude knew I was not very straight but the teacher didn't. yikes yikes yikes 

oh and one of my exams was a debate about apartheid and I had to 'play' the role of a black woman whose son was murdered and another role was a white dude who was a 'reformed' racist but my classmate didn't prepare and forgot the reformed part and it was just this huge ugly mess and we students discussed to make a complaint and I think the class representative did but nothing happened. 

I bitch about how kids are too sensitive today a lot lately, but I'm glad that you wouldn't be able to do shit like that anymore at most schools.
