if you ever have kids around in ur life

tell them how to spot signs for child abuse/neglect, eg. having a classmate always come in in unwashed clothes and rarely being clean themselves. a friend only having moldy bread to eat at home. being in charge of looking over younger siblings and managing the household at 8 years old. seeing bruises or burns on a kid. hearing someone mention they're scared of going home. not hearing it but having someone always tag along and postpone going home, even if they realise it's uncomfortable for others.

just a friendly reminder, they don't teach this stuff at school and kids can't tell they're being mistreated if no one tells them what counts.

if it's the only thing edible in the house and there are a bunch of hungry children i'd say it passes as an example

anyway how about you teach those things to adults and don't put the responsibility on kids to look out for other kids

Problemly cause they either don't care or to shield themselves (if they're abusers).
Mostly think they just don't care, you know just like if your being bullied and told to go to an adult and instead are told to ignore or given the cold shoulder?

I don't think they really put those responsibly on kids, i learned about it but in later classes.

I think it's something u are taught about as a teacher or pedagogue tho. At least some

that's a good addition! i think it's a bit more difficult to spot from an outsider point of view though, and needs to have even a bit more conversation on the topic than the other things

True. Abusers go through generally well thought out processes when not only the child is targeted but the family itself. A good start is to know the warning signs.

you could, in a ~dream society~
but in all seriousness if adults cared enough and/or were told/picked up the things kids do they might be able to reach more children in need of help. but from personal experience and knowledge from child psychiatry and social work i'm certain in that there are lots of situations only other kids can see happening. you don't need to burden children with this, but they deserve to know.
