I can appreciate that kind of project
bet they’re going to look really nice
once you’re done
they better.....
i'm getting closer to finishing my diy renovations @ my new place, but like i noticed a hole in the tile seam in my shower and my landlord doesn't know if it's insulated correctly, we're looking into it but he said that he could have both my shower & loo gutted and redone. if that happens i'll be stuck at my mum's for weeks still, but it could be kinda cool to get all new everything in there !
Since you’re doing this on your own
is your landlord offering to help with anything?
Sounds like he’s going to have a nice place
once you’re done!
he's covering all the costs of materials for painting etc. our deal is that i do the work, he pays the supplies and i still get to live there for a v reasonable rent but when i move out he can mark the price up. i really like the owner, he's interested in raising the value of his property but isn't too nosy and he seems to appreciate the value of the work i put in. a dream come true for me tbh, the flat is in a 1920s stone building in the middle of the city and i rented it without knowing if i could do any of the changes i wanted to, and now i basically have free hands!! i'm trying to appreciate the era & style of the building in my alterations and i feel like it's going to be pretty cohesive, v excited and could go on about the details for ages
