Tempest Storm, like many of the golden-era of burlesque, went into the business escape a bad home life in 1945. Dancer, fetish model, actress, teacher, and all around icon. She continued performing and teaching until the age of 70.

I may have got the year wrong, somewhere between 84-88 in that photo
however because she was born on leap day, she loved to joke that she was forever in her 20's

It started as a fundraiser for her end of life care supplies but she passed sooner than expected, is the best I can gather. 
They're trying to bury her with Bettie Page & Dixie Evans

I'm gonna watch the documentary of her life tonight, the producers (?) posted it free on youtube today

Bettie Page also died broke, mostly alone and in pretty dire psychiatric distress.
it's just fucking tragic because without these women really did pave the way for modern day women's sexual freedoms
