the recipe was vegan but I'm not vegan so I used bacon fat instead of vegan butter to save money and it's honestly not half bad.

Do you have any food sensitivities?

Food is surprisingly the one place my sensory issues don't affect me?

How can you be surprised
that it’s not half bad?
vegan your entire life?
I thought you were
from the south lol

You should fry potatoes
with it!

I've eaten meat my whole life, but I always thought I hated bacon...or all pork, until college and I had some pasture-raised bacon from the school farm, so I'm just now learning to cook with bacon grease.

ohhh :0 that's interesting !
am trying to think of a way 2 word 'ur lucky' but it feels like it's a bit incorrect as u might have struggles with other sensors instead that weigh up for it u know ?
tbh food has always been a struggle like with trying new stuff n new brands rly
honestly most of what i eat is on a circle of repeat every day pretty much

it's so weird to say but i think my worst struggle is having the courage to actually try stuff
and i feel like other stuff like becoming social and develop a body language would be harder but surprisingly it has been way easier than food by mileS

I've learned as I've gotten older that lots of food I thought I hated as a kid, I like when I cook it myself - my mom was just a terrible cook lolol

I make an active effort to try new foods, I definitely try more now that I garden.

Some pork IS gross tho
because I’ve bought pork chops
and 5 min into preparing them
i was hit with a very distinct odor
because it was boar gag
I didn’t finish them, just straight
to the trash.

i think when i move (eventually) to my own place i'll find it easier to try stuff
living at home is a comfort in itself and that's most likely what hinders me, being 2 comfortable that is

honestly i lov gardening so i deffo see why it would be motivating to try stuff ! i liv in an apartment though so there aren't 2 many options

however!! a great start for me has been to watch mukbangs actually and i think some of the stuff looks rly good n that i would like to try to recreate in the future ! so that's a good test for me to get 'tolerant' of more foods !

Cheap pork is just NOPE
its like if diapers smelled less like shit they'd smell like cheap pork chops

But I don't have the money to be too picky with my meats, however the farmers market got a grant to double food stamps so I've been taking advantage of that.

I was MAD!
Who can throw away meat
in college...even cheap pork?
When it happened again
I got a refund and avoided Save-a-lot 😆

Farmer’s market is where it’s at!
GA is the one of the few places
where farmers drive down the road
Offering 2 dozen ears of corn
for....1.00.
