I have no sense of fashion

I've been playing snake and Tetris and doing performances for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT to finally be able to communicate on this website sooooo.......

hi

I  have a problem. Its a really stupid problem but neither the less, a problem

I'm finally starting my bachelors study and I'm STOKED

But I'm also jIzzing my pants cause the city I'm studying in is SO TRENDY

Everybody got curtain bangs, butterfly earrings, middle parted hair and loose mom jeans

Just last weak I bough my FIRST pair of mom jeans and I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MORE I CAN DO

I can't do a middle part cause I'd look like gollum, so here I am, side parted with tight jeans.

This is such a stupid problem but I have NO idea how to style myself. I'd love to be one of those girls you'd pass on the street and think daaamn she dresses good, but I'm not.

I have a very slender stick-figure like body, with no shapes what so ever, so I can't wear like cute small cardigans with nothing under cause then people will confuse my gender, I can't put togheter a good outfits and even if I do, I just can't pull them off.

I see soo much cool stuff I'd like to wear, but I just can't pull it off like other girls do. I've always been an outsider in the world of trending fashion, so do you guys have any tips or tricks for me I would really appreciate it

Again, I know this is THE STUPIDEST PROBLEM EVER, but its been a real struggle to me to move away from my tights jeans and christian girl autumn fashion

THOSE ARE AMAZING

I'd feel like I could get a big chunky sweater or a cardigan, or a west that could possibly work

for me, learning to develop my own style while still feeling fashionable was a lot about just copying other people until i figured out what i liked wearing and what suited me

not like straight up copying someone in your friend group, but just looking on pinterest and stuff like that and then try and find items that look like what you see there. im not a big fan of huge hauls bc i usually end up not liking a lot of the items, but if youre starting from scratch it could maybe make sense to go big to figure out what you like and then you can add small pieces here and there from then on

if you end up with items you dont like, you can always donate them or resell

You're right, I definetly need to find my own style in all the trends going around. I just haven't found it yet. I see alot of items I like, but then my second thought is hey; I could never wear that. Maybe I just need to try out more stuff, I usually HATE trying on clothes when shopping, but that might be something that could help out

The first thing is to figure out your body type
and what works for it.. trial and error, but I promise
you’ll get it.

Once you’ve mastered that, you can conquer trends!
You’re off to a good start with the realization that the
middle part isn’t flattering..if it’s not cute ON YOU
it doesn’t matter who or what you’re wearing
it’s just a bad look.

As for your figure, there are certain prints/fabrics
styles that enhance what you have.

Until you feel confident on your own
shop with a friend who you trust and has great taste
that can give you tips.

Also, for trendy pieces, never go over budget for them
and try to incorporate accessories too
because you can switch them up and
create different looks without spending a lot

Whatever you wear, rock it with confidence!

to elaborate: people dont stop in their tracks n stare in awe because someone is wearing a super trendy outfit. they get lost in the crowd of ppl w no personality n no confidence.

are there any recent trends you have found interesting? doesnt have to be current, but from like the last two years. oh, and remember there are more pants in the world than skinny jeans and mum jeans.
