it's not, apparently (according to TV SYD) the older girls (3rd to 9th grade) were collected in a room with the female staff and informed of the ban. this is ridiculous.

it is still absolutely ridiculous tho bc lets be real who is the ban for? so they dont distract the teenage boys? they are distracted anyway teenagers are teenagers. it's most likely bc the adults feel uncomfortable and not the teenage boys
