I hope I posted this thread in the right category, I was unsure if I should post it in the Creative section or not, but I chose this one since it's not my own artwork. Feel free to move it.
I'm going to make this my "favorite artworks" kind of thread, like some have their own music/personal threads and such on here.
But I'd love if you share your favorites as well!
I'll mostly post old paintings, I'm guessing around 1600-1800 era, since that's what I'm very interested in but feel free to post any kind of art you'd like.
Who's your favorite artist/painter? Do you draw/paint/create yourself?
What piece of art have you recently found? What's your absolute favorite piece? Do you have a special piece that started your interest?
Among my favorites are Artemisia Gentileschi, Caravaggio, Elisabetta Sirani, Salvator Rosa and Peter Paul Rubens but there's a lot more.
Recently I've been very enamored with this particular painting.
And my all time favorite piece is this one.
And the painting that started my interest into art was this one. We had an assigment in fith or sixth grade to choose from a few picked artworks and paint our own version of it. I don't remember what paintings you could choose from except the one that spoke to me.
