Its fun till suddenly they are either demanding they want their parents or reallly really reallyw anna show you this one thing or they insist they need to show you every single on of their belongings individually or they dont know how to communicate with you what they want so they start throwing a fit or when you cook for them but they decide they no longer like that food so you need to prepare something else or else you have a whole new mess to deal with. but its fun i like kids i dunno

im the oldest and ever since my mom got a job (now both parents are working) im obviously dedicated babysitter/nanny. It can be fun, i feel like we've grown closer, but holy cannoli dealing with kids 24/7 is harder when you're suddenly the one in charge and not just their sibling

Been doing that, I have had pretty easy kids at least in Finland. Kids usually love me, so it's easy working with them. Even in elementary kids loved me, so keeping classes was super easy (even though I was the only substitute who gave them homework and was expecting them to behave well, lol).
But when I worked as a nanny abroad...phew. It was a hassle. Often it worked out, but the kids were spoiled and they usually got their way and I'm not like that, so we had a lot of conversations if we do things like that or not. : D I didn't give up easily, but the parents did...so it was hard for me too to even maintain basic order in the house.

But you should apply, good to work while in Uni (I'm also working while in Uni). Good experience and some money, so win win.

in general it's fun, but some kids can be difficult. for example one kid would just randomly start throwing things at me and scream : )

I worked in Taiwan and did some work in China too. In China I worked in kindergarten, what an adorable kiddos and well behaving (it was for Finn kids to keep up with Finnish language). In Taiwan I did work for Finnish family too, but the kids haven't stayed much in Finland and what is normal for us isn't normal for them. I also helped them to keep up with Finnish, since they loved talking to each other in English.

If you are able to go abroad to work, I highly recommend! Those were seriously such an amazing experiences. Even though it was hard at time to time, I wouldn't change those for anything! c:
