things my brother can do at only a year and a half
respond to simple commands (take it, give it to me, can i see, look, go to *person*, give to *person*, show me)
understands how to open and close doors but doesnt have the strength to push down the handle yet
understands what what "milk/bottle of milk" and "pacifier meas"
sticks his finger in his mouth and sucks and hums to signal he wants a pacifier
brings us his empty bottle and shakes it to signal he's hungry
can take the stool out of the drawer that blocks him fromt he stairs he's not allowed to climb (which we put there on purpose so that sucks)
can climb on everything now except for my bed (he climbed on the coffee table and then an empty cooler yesterday, he's a hazard to himself)
he talks (babbles) in his attempt to communicate
if we say "Where's *his name*" he immideately covers his eyes and playes peekaboo (yesterday he held them over his eyes for a minute straight and then very slowly revealed himself with a giant smile and said "da!" ) (god i love him)
he can feed others
he walks around the house with brooms and mops and cloths and uses them appropriately after watching us use them all the time (mostly cleaning up after him)
when he suddenly gets a pen or marker he always go to the same exact wall and draws on it, rarely accepts paper
he learned how to turn up the volume on my piano when he inists on sitting on my lap and playing with it
he's not picky about any food *except* watermelon and celery
he's had spice (ACCIDENTALLY) twice and hasn't cried, just whined for a few seconds then moved on
he eats lemons like they're nothing
he knows how to feed himself with a spoon, but still finds it much more fun to just put stuff on a spoon and throw it
he knows how to take off his own diaper.... unfortunately
he's learning how to take off his own shirt but obviously with his chicken arms he struggles
carries a small stool with him to climb up on so he can reach desks
crawls backwards for no reason, or slides on his stomach backwards- again, for no other reason than for his own entertainment. he can walk
he cant, however, jump and when he tries its the funniest thing ever
