Old thread where you got to meet Elliot for the first time


so a little bunny update.
so back when stompe died, Ellie seemed depressed and I made the decision to get her a new friend about a week after his death. They did not hit it off at all, she was quite angry.

But I did my research on how to introduce them to each other and kept the comments in mind.

So some good news!
It took quite a few weeks, more than a month at least, of letting them sniff each other’s stuff, see each other from a distance, get used to each ither’s scent etc
to them have playtime together but still spend the night in separate cages.
after a few weeks I took it slow and let him spend 15 mins inside her cage, upping the time they spend in her cage every week by a few minutes.
about a week ago I let them spend the night together,and it worked super well!

I took my sweet time, letting his cage stay open and furnished in case something happened.

but I can proudly say, they are officially roommates and they feel safe and happy together.
they groom each other, they cuddle and they play.
