nearly anything fantasy - elemental powers, secret societies, good world-building, relatable characters, dystopia for sure. But not a fan w a lot of the netflix stuff where the fillers are out and there's too little time to properly develope characters and such, like that make so many shows stressfull to watch. NEarly anything that's a YA book adaption is a yes from me. Doesn't matter if it "sucks", it's a yes. It's totally such a comfort genre to me.
or like in contemporary, some crime, mr. robot vibes, survival plots, things built on games like jumanji or ready player or thg. just bc i rly love that extra layer of reality to it. i also like the hartstopper vibe of heartwearming series, those are sooooooo wholesome, like a soft blanket and cheesy. but u get like that rly strong connection to the characters there so it's very nice.
or some historical ones, mostly reign and outlander at this point tbh so maybe not so much historical anymore. but yeah historical for me is mostly drama i guess, but u rly need some good ass characters and plots and not too much romance, or things in the downtown abby vibe. that's not for me. strong female characters is ofc a yes from me but also soft males okay like yespls.
but none of these can be over-the-top action and shooting and exploding stuff, no car racing or dumb ass toxic characters that i'd rather just die. I sorta keep skipping a lot of war scenes atm just bc I find them exhausting but 1-1 battles are much better. no british humor either, sry but it's bad.
