I don't think you have a bias against autism. It does, however, sound like your coworker is a horrible person, and I honestly understand why it rubbed you the wrong way, because it sounds like it was used as an insult against you and not in a statement kind of way, where she tried to be accommodating.
Yes it absolutely felt like an insult
So what if I get overstimulated? She wasnt wrong when she pointed that out. I still do my job. Fuck off.
I dont want anyone to see me
getting stressed and overloaded as some kind of sensitivity that needs special accommodation or care. I'm aware of that tendency, and I know how to work through it independently and still do my job not only correctly, but with great dedication and care.
ok but also if you do get overstimulated and someone offers you like some accomodation and extra kindness then you deserve to like take that kindness. this lady isnt doing that shes just like saying 'lol autism' like a good accomodation would be like noticing when you're overstimulated and asking you if you need a smoke break. like its that simple and you taking that smoke break will make you a better worker long term. i had a hard tiem asking for accomodations at my last job and i think it like is part of why the job didnt work out for me is i waited too long to ask for the extra help that i deserved.
