Update 2 (last update):

Shithead has a new girlfriend, my dad  (he always goes for a walk on his lunch break and shithead lives in the neighborhood of my dad's place of work) saw her car 4 weeks ago in front of his house and now he officially announced it (l bet they already met before he broke it off lol).

She drives the same car as my sister and even has the same first name (with a k not a c but still)

She is older and has a kid and drinks a lot, allegedly. Glad my sister dodged that bullet.

reasonable to get concerned but I would probably break up too if I got a gf who didn't agree w my drinking habits and I didn't want to stop drinking

very childish indeed but also if hes not planning on doing anything about his drinking problem, then fair enough that he breaks up with her, when she wants him to stop drinking. and also good for her that he's out of her life, doesnt sound like he was gonna change anyway

He sounds liek an alcoholic tho, and it might be too stressful for him to stay in the relationship if shee is nagging on him because he has a disease, and even if he would want to stop drinking, its not that easy, and especially not that easy if she is nagging or being overly concerned

Yeah, but if there's no future in it there is no future in it, other factors doesn't matter. People with children divorce all the time, if it isn't working it isn't working, no matter how petty or childish it might seem.

She wasn't nagging, she told him she was concerned.
Tbh I'm glad she and he are history but the circumstances suck and I feel sorry for her because it's been 5 years after all.

Yes but ppl change, one cant consider the time one has been together as something worth staying for. Mby its been a good 5 years, mby its been a bad 5 years, either way its over and the time spent together doesn't impact anything really. Its not wasted time or whatever some ppl would classify it as.
