I'm 25 + my 6 months of volunteer work makes end of august = no more family insurance.

And I'm technically not unemployed but a student (explain the difference to my parents though) so they kicked me off.

oh they kicked you off
dang that sucks, because according to the law being a student does make you elligable for it
I think you could sue your parents for it, but honestly, don't really know how much that would bring because that's definitely some blood shedding :/

Nah, the law states that you can't stay on family insurance once you turned 25 if you aren't disabled (disability had to be diagnosed before 18th birthday).

really? I thought if you have the student certification, you're allowed until your studies are finished
worth checking up on your options though, because you have to have health insurance and if you don't have any income, the state will provide it for you

only if you turn to the job center and register yourself as Arbeitssuchend which doesn't really apply to me because I'm a full time student. They sometimes pay Wohngeld if your parents are poor or they disowned you but they always go to your parents for money first.

that sounds like they missed out on a very important step then
because a whole bunch of professions take people more than 26 years of age to finish their studies and not being able to have a job and you are by law required to have health insurance
have you tried calling the insurance your parents were registered at and just simply ask them (like pretend you're the most stupidest person on earth) what to do now
they should be able to redirect you to someone who can help you in figuring out what you need

Yeah, I researched this, sadly there is no other way except get a job that provides insurance but they rarely do in student towns.

Yeah it sucks. I lost my parents insurance at 21. Then the government implemented free prescriptions for anyone 25 and under.... 5 days after my 26th birthday -_-
