I feel this so much
6 laundry machines and 150 apartments, you can have a wild guess on how terrible that washroom is most of the time

Feel it so much. So many people forgot their laundry or waited like 2 hours before getting it.
We ended up getting these cards with baskets, so we could put their laundry in it and use the machine.

it's so annoying lol - especially when im the person who goes down when i get a text notif that the machine is done in 5 min.

god. im exploding people with my mind. its not that hard to take your laundry out on time!! the machines literally have timers on them! the amount of times ive had to move peoples stuff to the dryer for them is insane. im about ready to just start dumping peoples shit on the floor if they refuse to get it in a timely manner

In my student housing it's 3 washing machines and 3 dryers for 250 people, the only time you can do laundry is between 4am and 9am because everyone is still sleeping.

similar here, or sundays even up to 11 am
though you have to be mindful, if the day you want to do laundry is a holiday, the machines will be stocked up by people who start a load in the evening/night and then don't empty it until lunch time
best time is for sure between 7 and 8 am on weekdays

exactly! plus even if you say I'm studying, well I'm sure having a break after an hour to empty the machine wouldn't really hurt your schedule that much
it really makes me mad, it's peak human idea "if it doesn't inconvenience me, then how can it be inconveniant to anyone?"

We have a pretty strict 'remove your laundry as soon as it is done or it will be removed for you' policy.
There has been a big fight recently because the estimated time on the washing machine is rarely accurate.
I suggested leaving a note with your phone number if you don't want ppl touching your laundry but they told me they don't want that either because it would mean people can see their phone number. This discussion took place in the official WhatsApp group where people could already see that person's number........

we have the same, but it took 3 years until it was installed and it still doesn't work because the only one allowed to inforce it is the Hausmeister and he's not around on holidays
we had the issue that because some took it so far to leave their laundry for multiple days and then others just started to remove the laundry from every machine that had stopped running and dumped them on the floor (our floors look terrible because no one gives a fuck and the cleaning company is shit)
so then a lot of people bitched about their laundry being dumped on the floor and there was a strict "don't touch other people's stuff" policy, which then made others angry because of the blocked machines and we had a change in policy again
it shouldn't surprise anyone, but the student housing I live at is a bit on the expensive side and a lot of the students here are either students of law, design or BWL (finance) and about 99% of them are arrogant pricks who think that just because they pay to be allowed somewhere, it means everyone is going to clean up behind them

Funny, my student housing is fairly cheap but we have a lot of law and bwl students here too and no offense but they are the worst. I don't want to be prejudiced against those students but after meeting over 50 horrible people it's hard not to.
