How do I share this bad news

I have someone coming over this weekend who I care a lot for. They have never been to my place before and I'm thinking of hiding my meds and the letter I have on my fridge telling me it's time to check my lithium levels.

I know I would have to tell eventually but how soon is too soon and how do I even go about sharing that I have a serious mental illness lol?

I'm worried about what if they think it's too much and can't handle it? I'm symptom free now after being put on good meds but I mean anything could happen.

I usually avoid conversations about mental health so idk

If you're afraid of them not handling it well it won't matter whether you tell them now or wait, so I think I would tell it sooner rather than later ?? Idk how long you've known each other though, but I'm guessing not for long if they haven't seen your place, and if you feel most comfortable with hiding your meds now, then do that, but do consider the consequences of it as well (if they would feel lied to later on)

true and it kind of makes me feel better soon than later. We haven't known each other that long only a couple of weeks so it's still very new but we talk every day.

might be too late of a response now but i think if they are trustworthy it's better to just share and take the conversation upfront in a calm environment while having good time for it, such as while they're visiting you.

we moved the sleepover until this weekend but I told her over text, Didn't get much of a reaction which is probably a good thing but now I don't have to hide my meds

I told her I have bipolar disorder because I feel like that would be easier to understand than schizoaffective
