are you opposed to receiving used/thrifted/second hand gifts for christmas - if yes why yes, with exceptions, because of the same as above, it feels cursed i have a very difficult relationship with used things sadly and i'm not able to elaborate in a way that will make sense to anyone but me

I think 99% of people would think it's rude/cheap to gift second hand gifts for Christmas

No
Not to my knowledge
Yes, because I’m not cheap
and I like to go all out for Christmas
Yes, if that’s the only option someone has
I prefer that they don’t bother at all
The only exception being kids
since they’re financially dependent on others

1. yes, but usually as a secondary/extra gift (like if my friend rly likes one of my sweaters i'll buy her a present and also give her the sweater)

2. yes, esp when i was a kid my parents got a lot of toys etc. secondhand bc we were Broke!!!

3. not on principle -- i think it's ok as long as the gift is still nice, thoughtful, and something the person wants. but only close friends/family bc i don't wanna be judged

4. not at all -- again, as long as it's still nice and thoughtful. i am super uncomfy receiving gifts anyway so knowing it was prob both environmentally friendly and cheaper for the gift-giver would be a bonus imo

Why do you wrap your
Christmas gifts with the same paper
each year, is that your thing?

do you gift/have you gifted someone used/thrifted/second hand gifts for christmas - only my younger sister because she doesn't deserve expensive things

have you received used/thrifted/second hand gifts for christmas - have received some like books/magazines and video games from friends or from sellers on ebay

are you opposed to gifting somone used/thrifted/second hand gifts for christmas - not if someone is specifically wishing/asking for something that can only be found in thrift stores or bought from another person who has used it

are you opposed to receiving used/thrifted/second hand gifts for christmas - as long as it is usable and not very visibly used or damaged then I don't mind, although I am not a big fan of vintage stuff. but I think receiving anything is better than nothing, so I am just happy to get gifts at all, especially if there is some thought put into it

i feel a lot of ppl have a preconceived notion that second hand means old and dirty but u can find clothes and bags and houseware and all kinds of stuff new w tags being sold second hand because the person might have gotten the wrong item or just never got around to use it or whatever the case may be

not necessarily related to this thread but ive asked the same questions elsewhere as well and so many ppl comment on the fact that it may be "dirty" n im like raised eyebrow emoji

No its just gross that its been in someones house or been touched by another person, even if its not dirty or antyhing, it FEELS dirty and I can't deal w it
I did actually buy an eyeshadow palette secondhand (only swatched rlly) because the price would be too insane if I was going to import it myself, and it feels gross but I can live w it and eventually I will be ok w it, but it feels yuck
