My bio dad is trying to contact me

Quite frankly he is a pos I owe him nothing and I'm blessed my real dad raised me and treated me like I was his own

i just watched this vice documentary that spent forty minutes trying to make me feel bad for sex offenders and like the thesis of this thing was that the sex offender registry doesn't 'work' and hurts these people unfairly and the guy they followed like had to spend six extra years in prison cause he couldnt secure housing and they want us to pity this guy or whatever and then at the very end vice was like 'and then he sent a dick pic to one of our producers' lmfao.

My employer provides a mandatory training seminar on sex offenders cuz they operate a sex offender group home (which I dont work in thank God, dealing with a down syndrome woman with bipolar and behavioral issues is enough thanks)

The whole "does the registry harm or help" debate was discussed during the class. I don't have an answer. Dispelling myths and acknowledging their existence is important to help victims. God bless people who work with that demographic. Lord knows I fucking couldnt but someone has to in the name of public safety
