Am I the A hole?

Will I be the A hole if I tell my friend I don't want to be in the same room as them even after they cave me allergic reaction?

We did go to douple date (me, my bf and my friend an her bf). I asked my food without onions and they just ordered extra dip with garlic. Well when food came my throad instantly crow tihgter and it was little bit hard to breath. I didn't even eat anything yet. Just breath the scent of garlic. Her boyfriend apologiesed about that but my friend didn't even say "sorry". So am I the A hole if I'm going to tell her that I don't want to be in the same room as they two?

And yes, my friend knows that I'm allergic to onions.

"I asked for MY food without onions" isn't saying "If I am NEAR onions I can die" so it is quite possible that these people had no idea how severe your allergy is and maybe if they knew this wouldn't have happened. Were you clear with them about the severity of the allergy? Many allergies are like not so severe you can't even have the food at the table but many are. I think it's on you to communicate your needs clearly. If you did communicate clearly then yea they disrespected a boundary- but from your telling of the story it seems they easily could have misunderstood and this was a mistake.

Does garlic affect an onion allergy? Because I would've also gotten myself the garlic dip since I wouldn't think it matters if it's a different vegetable. Not apologizing is a bit rude, but also not being in the same room over this incident seems a bit intense as well, maybe talk to her and tell her that it bothered you rather than completely avoiding her

In my case it does affect. It's worse than onion. But I did inform her that it bothered me and we discuss it little bit that the next time we will have again douple date that I hope nobody in the table doesn't have onions because apparently my throat is so sensitive about onions and garlics.
