Ive always dressed "normally" for interviews, no rips or holes or cropped shirts. Just my nice black jeans a tshirt and hoodie
Try to keep it neutral, no graphic tees, but I've never had an issue!

Chellos suggestion of looking at the company's dress code is also a very good idea!

(Also in my 10 years of working I've never sent a thank you letter for an interview, I think that's a formality for very high up the corporate ladder)
