rn because I need to make a tread but can't and I'm already crying

My cat was puking on monday now she's better but on  close inspection I detected a small hard mass between her shoulder blades and according to all the pet websites it's something really bad. Like I read up on every possible option and the symptoms and the chances of it being something not bad are much much smaller

We have an appointment with the vet tomorrow and I don't wanna know but I need to know. I feel fucking helpless because the diagnosis and check up alone will cost around 250€ and potential surgery will cost a lot more and she would probably need chemo and there is absolutely no way I could afford that and she deserves the best possible treatment but I can't give her that sad

Even with that she probably doesn't have more than one or two years and I'm just not ready for all of that

Last week my aunt died and the week before that my uncle died and now my cat is sick and everyone in my family is struggling with mental health issues and I just can't take it anymore

I hope the lump ends up being nothing.
I had a dog that had a lump on his back. He lived a long and healthy life so I really hope the same for your cat <3

She has a fibrosarcoma which is really fucking bad.
We have an appointment for removal surgery next week but best case it won't come back for another year or 2.

Idk if I want to do pathology that tells us how aggressive the tumor is.

i am so sorry. we cannot and will not ever be prepared for such turns of fate.
you are doing the best to your abilities and i am sure your cat can, at the very least, feel the love.

shit
if you do suspect that, it's probably better to go ahead and take the tablets right away. or at least that's how it was handled when i suspected i had 'em
consulting a doc or pharmacist beforehand of course

My vet said to be careful because she had lots of patients who got parasites from their cat and they presented with ibs symptoms which I had for the last 6 months

oh yeah
i suppose it's worth a try? if your symptoms improve, that was most likely it?

I know I should be grateful I had her for 15 years many owners have less time with their furry friends
but I feel so guilty that I didn't detect the mass earlier and that I can't afford chemo.
