I work as a bookseller, and here are some of the things I HATE when customers do!

1) 

Customer: "Hey, I need a red pen."  

Me: "Ah, yes, we do have a few red pens. They're down at office supplies."

Them: "Great. I'll have the cheapest one."

(  What I want to say: "WELL THEN GO GET IT!!"  )

What I have to say: "Of course, I'll go get it right away." 

(  Internal monologue: "despite the long-ass queue. Thanks a lot  )


2)

Customer: "Oh hi I'm looking for that new crime book set in Ireland!!" 

Me: "Of course, do you know the title or the author?"

Customer: "Ah no but I know it's a crime book and set in Ireland!!" 

Me: "I haven't heard about that.. Are you sure you don't remember anything else?"

Them: "I saw it in the newspaper and it looked rly good!!" 

Me: "Okay..." 
*googles the newspaper and looks at the book reviews*

Me: "Oh, you mean this DOCUMENTARY about the IRA? It's not released yet sorry." 

(  Internal monologue: IF U THINK THE BOOK LOOKS INTERESTING THEN HOW DID U NOT CATCH THAT  )

I could definitely go on with the number of silly customers I meet in a day, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with similar stories?

What do you just HATE that customers, teachers, pupils or humans in general do?

oh i just remembered one time that i actually got mad lmfao, some people from Stockholm came by (i lived in a small town of 15 000 people) and they just.... didn't clean after themselves................... which EVERYONE does there. like. put the trash in the trash can?? it's right there. please. EVERYONE DOES IT. i've never had to leave the cooking area to clean after customers mid shift before.......................... god

I hate it when people don't clean up after themselves 😭 like when it's just trash you can bin it!
