The paragraphs from users was written about in a BT article
And something is being planned to educate people about flags

But I do love all of your ideas. I don't mean to state them above to be rude just to mention that you didn't know what had and hadn't occured :3

the sets in the codes being the colors of lgbtq+ flags
the dress up comps, esp the second one
and the highlight and info about famous lgbtq+ supporters and such on the social media accs

the choice of celebrities to highlight; maybe do a more thorough background check?
the lack of eventfulness; ideas to combat this below
cant really think of anything else besides the yaoi/yuri thing but i know that wasn't a planned part of the event so i'm not gonna count it

small things happening daily, like forum discussions about how people realized their sexuality or their best memory of something lgbtq+ related, etc, and maybe make a survey to find out how many people belong to the different sexualities or something like that? interviews with lbgtq+ members... there are lots of small stuff that could be done without too much effort

I love that idea. I was thinking of that earlier. Thank you! This is great!
That is a thing already tho, check out BT's latest blog!

Missed it. Thanks for pointing it out to me!

Any forum suggestions people have will truly be appreciated <33
If you like, some could even be implemented before the event is over

natural discussion is best imo

How would you suggest the best way to organise that would be?

honestly im not sure   and i KNOW thats not a helpful response lol.

when i see forums on here specifically make for events or articles (and forum team. when that was a thing ? is it still ? who Knows.)  it feels like the layout is almost always kind of like a survey. a bunch of questions in perfect grammar with a serious tone.  they arent very fun because it feels like u have to respond super seriously too.  and i get its because ur trying to make a real discussion but ppl on VP often arent rly into that.  we just want memes.    lots of memes and glitter gifs  ...   thats the real truth ...

idk where that went

Pride week isn't over yet, but I'd like to start gathering some ideas of what y'all have liked and disliked. This will help for planning next year's event.

1. So, three favorite things about pride week?

2. Three things you didn't like about pride week?

3. Two things you'd like to see in next year's pride week? Feel free to give as many ideas as you'd like.

Thank you!
1) i rly liked the diversity of things included! (like it wasn't just designs or social media posts, it was the two of them + competitions, forum posts, blog posts...) i also liked how some sets were unlimited! tht rly gives a chance 4 every lgbt person to get their flag without worrying abt it being snatched in seconds by ppl of other orientations/genders/even cishets! and i rly liked the designs! they were all rly pretty and i liked how each flag was given both a female and a male avatar versions!

2) i think it wasn't very well planned in general. even if u guys took months to put the event together, u still have lives and other stuff to worry abt so u couldn't have spent the WHOLE time on planning the event. bcuz of this, i think it should be discussed throughout the year to at least have a rough guideline on what should be done when the time to actually do what will be used in the event, like sets and articles, all u guys will have to worry abt is the execution of ur plans and not planning the whole event in a small amount of time.
also, even tho some sets were unlimited, others were limited and idk if tht's good for an event like pride? even tho it probably stimulates lgbt users to pay attention to the smt pages and all (which was probably what u guys were going for?). i just don't think limited sets rly work for pride? cuz it should include all the lgbt users! and they should not feel pressured to constantly check everything not to miss their flag imo. so maybe having code hunts and games to make it interesting and not SO available while still allowing all users to get their flags/flag sets?
another thing i didn't like were the competitions? (the dress up comps i mean) for the same reason i disliked the le codes. making flags exclusive to those who get to them faster (and maybe "better" in this case as well?) excludes those who should be included. maybe if the comps were only rly comps 4 a few users who weren't of tht particular lgbt orientation/gender? and all the users who WERE and participated in the comp would automatically get the prize

3) aaaaa i honestly have so many suggestions? i've given some regarding the aspects i dislikes abt the event above but i definitely have others if u guys would want to hear abt them! i'll read what other ppl wrote b4 so i don't repeat stuff tht's already been said!

thank u for making this thread!! and sorry if any of this is confusing? i'm not the best writer lmao feel free to ask if anything wasn't clear enough! (l)

how would we do that last thing you wrote on 2)?
theres no way for us to "check" people's orientation/gender
i like what you're thinking, but i think it'd be hard to execute
