My best childhood memories are spending summers every year at my aunt & uncle's farm located in a very small town. I had fun helping with cows, pigs, goats, geese, chickens, turkeys (evil & they chase you) dogs and cats. It's also why I'm probably not afraid of domestic animals now.. excluding turkeys. 
I definitely feel having parents who were supportive and present were instrumental in shaping who I am. Even if they didn't always agree with my choices, they allowed me the freedom and gave me courage and support to try. If I failed, they didn't kick me when down (still don't) even those times when they were right. I appreciate that they picked me up and encouraged me to do it again. 
Best memories are past holidays with all of my family because of the members who are no longer here. 

However, I do have a grudge against my parents
I never had a easy bake oven.. until I bought my own lol and I wasn't allowed the opportunity to be a girl scout
