Yeah it wasn't a documentary, it was rlly just a reenactment of what happened with the investigation and ted, but also kinda what happened to him when he went to stanford/harvard (??) whatever n stuff w his family n things like that, he seemed pained idk, they portrayed him more in a sympathetic way I guess but also from  the perspective of the police/fbi idk.

I think it sometimes crosses the line and is insensitive to the families of the victim and even the victims themselves, portraying it as a joke, idolizing the killer etc you know?

Yea i get you, i haven't come across any that idolize i think and those people that do that, i depsite it. I do see some of them being insensitive too, mostly in terms of graphic images, but i honestly personally skip those, because it's something i don't wanna see.

Agree. That MUCH of the true crime community is filled with hybristophilia and like uwu fanart of literal SERIAL KILLERS and fucking fanfiction too? It's one of the worst sides of the internet in my opinion and it was rampant on tumblr at one time (maybe still is, dunno)

But sometimes the interest in true crime can really just be that, interest.
