I know people aren't thrilled about Biden but to give you guys some perspective
I am someone with preexisting conditions, I had stage 4 cancer when I was a kid. trump trying to take away ACA(Obama's health care plan that insured patients with pre existing conditions don't get discriminated against by insurance companies, either by denying them or raising the price of premiums) was VERY dangerous for me.
I am also 25, meaning that in one year id be kicked from my dads plan, having to find my own. Without a plan that insures there's no discriminating against people with preexisting conditions, I wouldn't be able to afford/be eligible healthcare. Trump was in office for 4 years and not once tried to write up a healthcare plan. As a voter, that was my priority. when you look at it like that, it looks less like a "wash"
I know it doesn't matter to most people, but the sigh of relief I took.... there are no words
I also lost my mom to covid, so overall this feels like a huge victory and I have a piece of justice for her.
i can't even imagine how relieved you must feel. so sad to hear what you've gone through, but it seems like
brighter times are ahead. so so much brighter
