Well, the cases of Edward Snowden or Chelsea Manning are good examples that prove the opposite. 

And obviously, I don't agree with the premiss that you are building this on. You're implying that it's good that you can say whatever you want (including hate speech), while at the same time you're not acknowledging the fact that certain forms of whistleblowing aren't protected.

No, it's the exception to the rule. Not the same at all.  

 
I just forgot to mention espionage after the first exception, it wasn't my intention.
