OH yesss.. there's room for improvement on MANY things, so many really that I won't stay here in the future because everything's so expensive and living here is a drag.
Yes this combination comes from my parents, my father is a Latin & Hispanic man, while my mom is Persian, Japanese, and also Azeri, her parents have a really interesting story.
ohhh I wish I knew more Greek, I loved visiting Greece and would LOVE to come back there again.
And I hope so too haha, I do feel like my knowledge in English will help me with this, but sometimes also Russian?
I got to hear some words that sound the same almost and well mean the same? I remember Jeg which means I, if I'm not mistaken, and in Russian, it sounds really similar, sounds like ya, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to learn at least some basic Norwegian.
And thank you! really warms my heart to hear so! I hope that you'll also work hard to achieve your dreams because at the end they'll be so worth it.
Yeah I'm icky about elaborating because the closest I've been to Israel is Bulgaria lmaoooooooo
I love that, so diverse. I've always been very fascinated with people who are so diverse culturally. Like, I can meet people and they're like yeah I'm Italian-Norwegian and I'm amazed, but then I remember that a person who was in my class back in secondary was beyond amazed when he remembered that I'm Finnish-Norwegian because it resulted in even more diversity among the students lmao.
I've never been to Greece, I would love to go but not during summer as heat makes me literally sick. I did learn some Greek because.. tragically, I had a crush on a Greek cunt.
Idk about Russian, I've been trying to do some Duolingo in Czech and honestly none of the language backgrounds I can look at helps at all. Like I've had Spanish, German, and Latin in school. I know Norwegian and English fairly well, I've done years and years of French on Duolingo. But nope. Finnish however?? Easier to me despite not being in the same language family at all.
A significant challenge with Norwegian which I will share right now is that, sure all languages have dialects, but Norwegian doesn't actually have a standardised way of speaking. If you learn strictly to speak the dialect (or a dialect) from the Oslo (or Urban East) area of Norway you might actually struggle to understand people from other places because yeah you have jeg which is the 1sg pronoun, I say "æ" (pronounced roughly like the vowel in the American English pronunciation of "can't" for that pronoun. I will never under any circumstance say anything other than that for that.
I'm reaaally shit on working hard. I work efficient lmao and then I'm like "pft this will do". It has worked.. ish .. so far.
Lol feel free anytime to elaborate about it to me, I sadly hate this country, but love the geographical place .
It's sad really, but what can I do when I grew up here and saw how this country really works and we'll living here will mean either be hardworking and lucky enough to land a job that'll actually give you a decent pay check, or live the rest of your life fighting for scraps.
And yes I also love diversity as I love different cultures and always so eager to learn more about people and groups, so amazing, how we can be so diverse, it's super interesting and so fun to discover more.
And thank you for your input, I'll try to remember that, I'll try to study Bokmal as I understood that this it the "main" written Norwegian that people use.
And yes it seemed to me as Norwegian is a bit different then other languages might be a challenge but sure a lot more fun since it's completely new.
I know that deep down if we're really super interested in something, and we'll have an opportunity that is related to our dream, we'll try to grab it.
I still believe in you, that you'll be able to work harder when needed. because sometimes really you should work more efficiently, and not just burn yourself at work.
Oof : (
