Ages ago I did a "Wheatley Translates the Rules" thread that I can't find anymore, and even if I could find it, it's probably way out of date.

Foreign Languages- ✔️⚠️
You may speak in a language other than English on a record label, in PMs, or if you include an English translation. Otherwise, languages other than English are not permitted.
Swearing-✔️ ⚠️
Swearing is not allowed in shouts, usernames, record label names, or in the titles of threads/blogs. However, you are allowed to swear everywhere else on the site, to the point of being allowed to design clothes with swears on them.
Advertising- ✖️
You may discuss sites other than virtualpopstar (ex. "what sites did you go on in middle school? "
, but advertising other sites (including posting a link to your social media and asking for followers) is not allowed.
Bullying/Nonconstructive Criticism- ✖️
This one is a given, but I figured I'd recap anyways. Any type of post maliciously targeting another user and/or another group (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc) is not allowed.
Gore/Violence- ✖️
Even if it was shared with the intent of educating, gore and violence are not allowed.
Spamming- ✖️
Multiple threads from the same person about the same topic (ex. 'i quit' x20) will be considered spam. Begging, chain letters, bumping old threads (the definition of 'old' is never specified), and 'useless' (again, useless is never defined) threads are also considered spam.
Cheating- ✖️
Scamming, exploiting glitches in games, outright hacking the games, sharing codes, bribing other users, stealing profile layouts/designs, making side accounts for the sole purpose of getting money, and asking for passwords is considered cheating. However, it is important to mention, any users scammed out of items/money will not get either back, and the person caught scamming will only get a warning- Not a TO.
Trading items for IRL money/offsite currency- ❔
The first two rule pages explicitly ban trading items on VP for irl money, the third rules list says that it is allowed, but if you get scammed off of VP the mods will not help you, and the TOS never mentions anything about offsite trading. To be safe, don't do it.
Dating- ✖️
Not allowed, unless you're Kaj. Any threads asking for someone to date them will be deleted, and the poster will receive a warning.
Discussion of Drugs- ✔️⚠️
Discussion of drugs is only allowed in the Mature Content record label.
Sexual Content- ✖️⚠️
Pornography, erotica, and any visually explicit materials are not allowed anywhere on the site. Discussions about sexually explicit materials are allowed on the Mature Content record label.
