Hi everyone,
Earlier today I sent out an email with the full “Virtual Popstar – Roadmap – Our Next 12 Months”. Here’s a short forum summary.
What’s the big idea?
We’re focusing on two things over the next year:
1) Make VP smoother and more fun to use, especially on mobile.
2) Build a fair, sustainable way to fund new content and features, so VP can actually grow.
You’ll see Enbette mentioned – he’s a long-time VP player who is now helping as a developer.
Tokens, weekly drops & Diamond
Smaller, clearly priced token sets, released more regularly (ideally weekly).
No lootboxes: you always see the token price up front.
Some older favourite sets may return as clearly marked, limited token re-releases.
Diamond membership (optional) for players who want to support VP monthly and get tokens + a few perks in return, cancellable anytime.
Tokens vs Credits & auctions
Tokens: main currency for new sets and shop content.
Credits: stay for marketplace trading, auctions and smaller features.
We’ll add some small, time-limited credit sinks so big credit balances still feel meaningful without breaking token value.
Auctions get a fairness pass (soft close against sniping, sensible bid steps, tuning per server).
Bigger rebuild (UI, mobile, security, gameplay)
In parallel, we’ll be working in this order:
UI/UX & mobile – cleaner layouts for Home, Shop, Wardrobe, Forum, Profile; faster loading; better on phones; wardrobe revamp in slices instead of one huge update.
Security & integrity – smarter protection against bots, clearer logs for token/credit moves, optional 2FA.
Core gameplay & onboarding – return of global contests, better explanation of “What is VP?”, storyline + quests.
Marketing restart – only once the experience feels good enough to show off.
How you can help
Tell us what you think about weekly drops, pricing and the shop experience.
Support via Diamond or tokens if you’re able – that’s what pays for artists, dev work and servers.
Keep reporting bugs, auction issues, bots and performance problems.
If you’d like to read every detail, check the email version or ask in this thread and we can share the full roadmap text again.
