Hmm, that's an interesting argument.
I always thought the intention of the codes was to make sure that everyone who can't buy or obtain credits could still have nice clothes and have fun in the game - something that Kaj went on about a lot during the credit set update.
Putting things like Solovey's sets in the shop would funnel cr back into the website, but usually when something like that goes up it's for a ton of cr or it's LE and the same people tend to grab it first. A lot of people would leave because they can't afford anything.
I also don't think it will help with the ridiculous prices people offer for some things - the Solovey wings alone are going to be expensive. Imagine if they were really LE and you could only get them in the shop for cr. Prices would skyrocket.
I never said they had to be LE items, just that it'd be nice if they were sold in the shops instead.
I mean let's face it some codes are ugly af but some are hella nice. And all shop items are either ugly af or average. So not a lot being spend there.
Oh no, that wasn't directed at you. That's my experience with vp - when the fashion shop got that big update, a Solovey went up for promotion points only and people went crazy trying to buy them so they could resell them for cr. The hair alone was like six hundred cr for a while. When they put nice sets in the mp, they (Kaj? Kim? both?) have a tendency to make it limited and for a price only a select few can afford.
I agree that some sets are nicer than others, and that there needs to be nicer shop items with the shop updated more frequently. That would definitely raise the quality of vp and encourage users to stay.
But I think a lot of the designers send their designs to the teams to use as codes though, don't they?
Because the designs see the light of day faster than if they went to Kim/Kaj to go in the shop. That's really the fault of Kaj, not SMT or ET or their code bombs.
yeah...
