Well if not then I apologies that we didn't use the layout that you had made.

Wowzers, I'm just super into the concept of extending the time it already takes mods to do something by splitting their attention! And that bit with the not actually giving us a few additional mods that could be trained in a couple days, but instead making it some kind of ridiculous hunger games shit thereby further extending the time the forums are understaffed?

Genius. GG. Into it.

I don't really see what's the problem with the candidates either, I don't know all of them so well but the ones I do know, i know they're going to be great mods.
annd i don't either see the problem with the bootcamp either?? why weren't smt judged for running bootcamps? I think it's just better to get them a little training before the actual badge, and it gives them time to see if they fit into the job.
The thing is SMT made everyone aware of it. We (ngl, I) thought everything through before even announcing the application, Ā people knew what to expect and what they were signing up for. Mods apparently lack this behaviour and thinks its ok to just do things without consulting. When we switched VintageBeauty from Instagram to twitter we made sure she was a) aware of it b) okay with it, if she wasn't than we wouldn't have made the change. I have nothing against the idea of a boot camp but I can imagine that people would have rather been made aware of this in advance rather than just be surprised with the idea. I am not even gonna dig into how unfair I think that Tess is already a mod, I know she was before but that doesn't mean that she is still qualified and has the time to invest in this job, but yeah who cares about the things I say. Won't be surprised if the mmds are gonna accuse me of bullying Tess now...
You have a right to your opinions in regards to that; someone was going to be angered if I wasn't brought in as a mod straight off either based off the fact I've had prior experience. I'm not at all going to accuse you of bullying me haha. I say go for it if you wish. ^^

not relevant at all, that's just a fucking excuse.

If you want to continue to be rude then please leave this forum. A bootcamp was requested by those applying to be mods & in admin campaigns during that process.Ā
The issue isn't that there is a bootcamp. The issue is that you said there would not be one, and then later on just completely changed your minds. The people want clarity, and the people need to be able to trust what the mods say.Ā
It was 'the people' that wanted a bootcamp, so they have one. ^_^ plus the whole idea is to let them be aware of what their job roles entails. because getting use to the position can be a lot to handle.Ā

i have a question.Ā

the fact that tess has been mod before might mean that she knows how to do the job. in that case, would it really be a problem for her to participate in the bootcamp like everyone else? i don't see how anything bad could come out of it? if she's still mod-material, the only thing that could happen is that you actually got to confirm that she was able to do it?

I don't think any of the mod candidates would admit that as that would screw their chances
Being through a training will help them be more prepared instead of being thrown into the sharks. They'd understand how to use the tools and functions seeing how they haven't changed since the start of this server...just a lot more english than then. They'd only screw their chances if they abuse the role? It's an easier transition into the position tbh. Plus, you get to know more of who you are on the team. n.nĀ
