An Event Team Christmas Carol
Account deleted

Hello VP, happy December to you.
This month we have a lot to share with you and some new help - but you're going to need some back story on it. So, I've written for you, a short story of how December's events came to be.

We hope you enjoy.

"Jingle bells, batman smells..."
      "Robin laid an egg!"
Singing Christmas carols, conventional or not had been the 'norm' for the Event Team since December had grown closer and as soon as December came, the songs were being belt out in full force by some of the team members.
"Bat-mobile lost it's wheel, and the joker got away--!"
      "Hey!"
It was hard to hear anything over the obnoxious singing coming from Eli and Gingivitis, it was a real Christmas miracle that anything was getting done with those two goofballs. As their song came to an end, there was a lingering laughter coming from some of the other members but that wasn't all.
There was a tapping. Something like a knock, maybe even... footsteps. It was light enough to go unnoticed until RoloLolo happened to faintly hear something in the distance, just as Eli and Gingivitis were about to belt out Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and just as the first note was about to drop, RoloLolo shushed them.
"Did you guys hear something?" RoloLolo asked, looking around at the group who all seemed to be absorbed in their work.
Holographic leaned back in his chair to glance at RoloLolo, "Besides Eli and Gingi's horrible Christmas tunes?"
Chandelier rolled her eyes, "No, I think I heard something, too, it sounded kind of like knocking."
"Knocking?" Rats asked, cocking her head to the side as she turned away from her drawing tablet and towards the rest of the group whose attention had been caught.
"Maybe it's puppies!" Legohouse exclaimed excitedly with a wide smile.
"Really, Lego? Puppies? At this time of night an here?" Beholder replied with a slightly concerned look on her face.
"Or maybe it's a stranded timelord!" Hypoxic said with a huge grin.
"Seriously?" LoveIsALaserquest commented and shook her head, unable to force the small smirk off her face.
"Hey! A girl can dream, you know!" Hypoxic replied and shrugged, looking over at Rat's who looked as if she was about to speak.
      "Maybe it's a drawing tablet."
Holographic looked at Rats with concern and confusion. "Sweetie, I think you need some sleep."

There it was again, the knocking. The rapping. Something tapping, and it was getting louder with each passing second. The team started looking at each other with a sudden expression of panic and confusion. What on Earth was going on here?!

"Oh heck no, is this Halloween 2014 all over again? I am not down for Christmas zombies!" RoloLolo shouted, sounding more annoyed than scared at this point.
"Where is that even coming from?" Eli asked, starting to look around out of curiosity, but all she could see was the gleam of computer screens in the darkness of the room, it was starting to feel a little eerie, a little too creepy for a calm December night.
"The attic, I think," Gingivitis replied an looked up towards the ceiling.
"The attic, we don't even have an atti--"
"Boo!" A voice shouted from within the darkness, cutting Hypoxic's thoughts short.
The entire team screamed loudly with fright. Someone or something was in the room, who or what was here?!

As soon as the scream had calmed, a laugh could be heard. It wasn't menacing sounding, it sounded happy and amused. "Hahaha, I scared you! Oh, you should have seen the looks on your faces!"
A tall white figure stepped out from the shadows and into the area illuminated by computer screens.
"A g-ghost!" Legohouse shrieked and almost fell out of her chair while the others were frozen in fear at the sight this ghostly figure. Everyone, except RoloLolo.
"What did I just say?!" She shouted, clearly angered by it's presence. "First zombies and now we're being haunted by ghosts? I'm done--" She exclaimed and threw her hands up before going to stand up and leave.

"Wait!" the ghost shouted, evoking another scream from the other Event Team members. "I'm friendly, I swear!".
Sabrina eyed the figure suspiciously, "What are you, Casper the friendly ghost?"
The ghost let out a quite chuckle. "No, but I do know him, nice kid."
"Excuse me, what?" Sareureuk asked, looking at this monster, slowly rolling her chair backwards until she hit the back of her chair to the desk behind her.

"Allow me to introduce myself," The ghost started and took a glance around the room at all the team members bewildered faces. "I am the Ghost of Christmas Present and I--"
"What do you want with us?!" RoloLolo huffed, crossing her arms as she sat back down in her chair slowly.
" And why are you here?!" Sareureuk added.
"Well, as I was trying to say, I'm the Ghost of Christmas Present and we were just in the area because we noticed Scrouge was up to no good, and you know how the story goes, we have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't get all... humbug-y again."
"We? What do you mean we?" LoveIsALaserquest asked, her voice shaking slightly as she spoke.
"Oh! Silly me, I forgot to introduce the gang; guys, this is  the Virtual Popstar Event Team and Event Team, this is Ghost of Christmas Past, and his little sister,"
"How do you do?" The two new ghosts said in a rather posh voice.
"And this is Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come; they're pretty quiet, usually they just point at things and yeah... you'll get the hang of it eventually, I promise." And as if on cue, the other ghost lifted it's ghoulish arm and pointed straight forward, not at anything in particular, but it was creepy nevertheless.

"Hey!" A voice sounded off. A high pitched voice, like a child. "Don't forget about me, guys!"
The Ghost of Christmas Present looked down towards the floor, his eyes landing on the small boy standing next to him. "Oh! Of course, how could we forget about you! You want to help, too, Tiny Tim?"
"Of course I do!" Tiny Tim exclaimed. "I'm excellent at shouting and spreading the Christmas cheer!
Somehow or another, the Ghost of Christmas Present smiled down at the boy and nodded, "That you are!"

"Cretins." Another voice sounded from the distance.

"Ah... don't mind him, that's Scrouge, I told you he was hanging around, but don't worry, we're here to help you!"

"You want to help us?" Chandelier asked, still suspicious of these new intruders.
"Yes! We do, we love events, and we love surprises--"
"Okay, look bud, we've had enough weirdos for the year--" RoloLolo commented, only to be cut short.
"No! We're super helpful, I swear!" the Ghost exclaimed, throwing it's pale, transparent arms in the air.

Eli looked over at the calendar on her computer desk and pursed her lips for a moment. "Well..."
"Yes! More people!" Holographic shouted before another word from Eli could be said. "Er... well, dead... people..."
"I think that's kind of offensive Holo..." Eli said as she looked away from her calendar and towards her teammate with furrowed eyebrows.
Chandelier rolled her eyes again and crossed her arms. "We could use an extra hand, there is a lot going on so, everyone in favour... say aye."

"Aye!" the group said in unison, except Gingivitis.
"Aye, aye, mi'hardy!" Gingivitis exclaimed with a pirate accent which made everyone, including the ghosts cringe.

"So we can stay with you guys and help?!" The ghost asked excitedly as he looked around at the group who seemed to be less frightened and more charmed by the new, temporary team members.
"Seems so," Chandelier replied. "Welcome, temporarily, to the team."

All the ghosts and Tiny Time cheered, except the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, they just pointed up to the ceiling.

"Bah, humbug!" Scrouge shouted from the back of the room, which was ignored by nearly everyone.

"What should we do first?" the Ghost of Christmas Present asked, glancing at his group of ghosties. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come pointed at a candy cane decoration on the nearest desk to them.
"A candy cane dress up competition?!" the Ghost of Christmas Present asked with a touch of excitement in their voice.
"That's a great idea," Beholder exclaimed. "Let's get started!"
