We have interviewed them and retyped their answers into a paragraph in hopes of preserving their anonymity as well as keeping this from turning out into an all out popularity contest. Option 1:
This fashionista was nominated twice for the amount of fashion contests she engaged in, actively trading and selling in threads, and posting frequently even outside of trading items to give the site more life. She has been on the site since two days after it opened when one of her close friends showed it to her. Her favorite thing about VP is the atmosphere. She also likes that it’s not run by a greedy corporation. Her goals on VP are to have a more rare wardrobe and to make even more friends. She has contributed to the success of VP by being an active member for its existence, having been a moderator for a few months at some point, is in the top 5 most successful list, participates in fashion contests, contacts Lianne on the Dutch server when something is needed, bought over a thousand credits to support the server, and is a very large contributor to a team even now. Some members have actually called her the "mother" of the team.. she's unsure if that's good or bad. She would love to see Kaj and Lianne be more active as far as uploading more designs or posting in the ideas and bugs forum more often. She also feels that the site should have more new games so that earning money is not so much of a chore and that the themes for the fashion contests should be updated. To anyone that has doubts about the site, she’d like them to know that even though there are other small community sites, the environment will never be exactly the same as it is on Virtual Popstar and they won’t have the avatars that she finds adorable. As far as her personal life goes, she spends her freetime playing on this site for probably way too long, playing Sims 2 and 3, jet-skiing, and her personal favorite: sleeping. She really wants to travel the world because it’s filled with so many varying cultures and climates that she hasn’t yet experienced because she’s only been to mainly suburban areas where she has grown up. Skydiving seems really cool to her too. Last but not least, to match the theme for this month, her favorite animals are porcupines and hedgehog-type animals because they don’t have to do much of anything but use their own personal thorns like a shield. They are like a “Captain America of the forest” to her. They smell terrible, but are so cute. She also wanted to tell you her birthday is in June, so happy early birthday candidate 1.
Option 2:
Nominated for her creative talents, this finalist joined the EN server two days after it opened. Although she did not expect to have had such a huge impact on VP, she has in fact helped to gain gradual interest in many different categories on the site. Some things that she would like to see happen differently in VP would be that some of the features need to be update it. She would like to see the Studio come back onto the site so that members can mass gather and also see a feature added where we could link accounts with other servers. To her, it’s unfortunate that the Dutch server has many things that the English server does not. Her favorite thing about VP is the community. Even though she’s not as active on the site as she used to be, she still highly enjoys popping into the forums to see what’s going on and to find others with interests similar to hers. For those that aren’t sure about VP or see it in a negative light, she would like for them to think of VP as a family. She doesn’t want it to be thought of as just another girl site because even if it’s true in some senses, to the older members it means more than that. She thinks that seeing the VP community as family holds the site together and keeps it strong. Her goal on VP is to collect all of the badges. Her goal outside of VP is to work within a SEN school in the near future and go from teaching assistant to actually being a SENCO (Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator. In her free time, she has recently found herself looking into the different fairy tales written by the Brothers Grimm. She tends to read fantasy or even graphic novels and also draws from time to time. To match the theme for this month: her favorite animals are dogs. She’s had three of her own in the past and recommends dogs to anyone who’s looking for a friendly companion (specifically Staffordshire Bull-Terriers).
Option 3:
Another creative finalist, who joined in February of this year, was nominated for her brilliant ideas that she contributes to one of the teams here. She also feels that she contributes to the site just by being an active member either by participating in roleplays or posting in the other forums. Her favorite thing about Virtual Popstar is the people. She likes how there are so many different people who are very open about who they are and what their opinions, and she thinks that is great because everyone should be able to express themselves somewhere. She’s made several friends off of the site and plans on making more through posting in the forums or involving herself with roleplays. Another thing that she likes about VP is that it has given her the chance to reconnect with some of her friends from GSM. To anyone that is not sure that VP is a great site, she would first ask them why not. She thinks this site has a group of amazing people and even if you’re super picky about friends, you’re bound to find at least one you’ll click with or you can learn about everyone’s different backgrounds and lives in different countries. The main improvement that she thinks the site needs would be for more people to join because the more people, the more friends, the more fun. Her VP goals are to do a roleplay with everyone that does, try to get all the stars on the right side of the screen, and gain as many fans as she can to keep on leveling up. Her aspirations and dreams include attending college and majoring in journalism/writing with a minor in music. Since she loves writing and has been in show choir, she figures that she should make a career out of one of those interests so that her work will not feel like a chore. In her personal time, she roleplays on VP, sleeps, watches NCIS, and sometimes goes to lunch or to the mall with friends. And to carry on with our theme: Her favorite animals is the giraffe (which she pronounces Jair-if). She is fascinated by little things about them like the fact that their tongue is over eighteen inches and their horns are called ossicones.

Option 4:
This little ball of sunshine was nominated twice for being a happy and positive player and for playing a huge role in the community by posting in the forums and participating in the fashion contests, event team competitions, and battles. She has been on VP for four months and first signed up in February. Her favorite thing about Virtual Popstar is how everyone is so friendly and able to accept others. Even though there are some exceptions, she feels that this community is a big happy family. She hopes that the admins will be more active to provide more help and clarification for the users. She also wants to see the site be treated the same as the other servers in the future. She feels as if she has contributed to the site by bringing forty-five new players to the website. To anyone who doubts the site, she wants to share how friendly everyone is and how it helps you get your mind off of something troubling you. She’s also very willing to help if anyone ever needs her. Her VP dream includes becoming a moderator that won’t tower over you or be intimidating and that will listen to anything you need. She dreams of growing up to be independent and to eventually support her family. She would love to repay her parents for all they’ve done for her and help them live comfortable as the get older. In her spare time, she likes to just relax and read fantasy or fictional novels. She also likes to sketch out outfit ideas that she has for the site. To match the theme for this month, her favorite animal is a cat. She loves cats because they will comfort you but if the will also immediately swipe out at you when you get too close. MEOW!
Option 5:
Another newer member that has meshed well within the community is candidate 5. She was nominated twice by two of her best friends on the site, citing her as a beloved friend, despite only being here since April. Like most, her favorite part of VP is the people and their diversity. She is determined to travel to Italy one day no matter the costs, become a child psychologist, and all those typical suburban dreams such as getting married to a lovely guy. The main improvement the site needs is more users in her opinion, along with more frequent clothes uploads. Candidate 5 is also an avid music listener, likes watching TV, creative writing, and procrastinating on VP. She posts on the forums daily and is a major contributor to the team she is on. Although she originally had her doubts about the site and refused to join for months, she changed her minds upon finally caving. This member would like to get into fashion contests so a certain someone stops pestering her, become a more active poster, become a queen of pop and collect rare items. Her favorite animal in the world is her 11 year old dog. She's been with him since she was seven, and he’s her baby. But her favorite type of animal is a dolphin. They’re so intelligent and talented, and she loves how playful they are. They’re also really athletic, and she finds their acrobatics and other stunts to be absolutely gorgeous and amazing. She's had an obsession with them since elementary school.
