Jacob had rushed round to the side entrance as fast as he could. He wouldn't keep her waiting any longer. Plus, he was afraid that after seeing all of this she would get scared and walk away. He stepped out of the door and made his way towards the gates just as he spotted her walking away. His heart pounded in his chest at the sight, he wouldn't let her go. He couldn't let her go yet. Running forwards he pulled the gates open and rushed after her. "Cassia! Cassia please wait!" He finally caught up to her and gently took her hand in his, making her stop in the process. "Please don't leave. I have to explain it all to you. I know I lied and you probably hate me for keeping such a big secret from you but let me explain. I really like you and I don't want to loose you. Just come inside so we can talk..." He looked down at her with his big blue eyes, hoping that she would at least give him that one chance.

What I feel between us is real and I want to at least give things a try between us. I don't want you to be sad, I want you to be happy - with me. I want a chance, screw all the risks and rules. This is worth it. Please." He had never begged for anything in his life but now he was dying to have this chance with her. He would give up everything for just a day with her. The time they spent together was absolutely perfect and he couldn't loose that. Woman only wanted him for the status they got with it. If he stuck to the rules he'd end up married to a snobby princess that he hated

Cassia glanced in the mirror at her outfit. Today was her first day at her new job and she was really excited, but really nervous. She had to take a client out for the day and show them around while interviewing them. She had gone for a burgundy top, that showed off a hint of flat stomach, black trousers, a black blazer and black heels. The conpany she was working for was very laid back so she didn't have to go full on dress mode. She had put her hair into a fancy bun and made sure her makeup was perfect. She grabbed her bag and the coffee she had made to go and headed out of the door. She was happy and excited, for once she was on time and she was going to a job she loved. She jumped into her new company car and headed to the offices, she was to meet her client in her new office before she took them around the best sights Sydney had offer. Once she was there she walked in. "cassia, your boss would like to speak to you." The receptionist told her with a smile. Cassia nodded and headed in. Her boss explained to her that she would have to be very careful with this guest because they were very special. After that she gave her the list of questions and then told her to get going. Cassia walked to her office, cursing under her breath as she realised she was now five minutes late. She walked into her office "Hi, I'm so sorry I'm late. It's my first day you see so my boss wanted to explain some things to me to make sure I look after you properly." she said as she entered the room, not realising who it was from the back. She walked behind the desk and placed her bag down before taking a seat. Her eyes finally met the persons in front of her and her eyes widened "Jake?"

Aaron chuckled and smirked a little "Excuses excuses. But yeah, it's my favourite too." He told her with a small smile "Hey just because I'm a man doesn't mean all I drink is beer and whisky. My drink of choice happens to be wine thank you very much. " he said as he bit his lip softly as he looked at her. She hadn't changed much at all, she had just gotten even more gorgeous, if that was even possible. "And nope, I don't go out and get drunk. I usually just stay in on my own on new year anyway." He said as he stepped closer "Why don't we share it?" He asked, glancing at the wine. "We both want it to so it seems like a very practical solution to me."

"I'm all alone this New Years too, my friends ditched me because I didn't finish work until late." She smirked at his idea and ran a hand through her wavy hair, "well how do you suppose we do that? You are a stranger after all it's not like we can go back to each others houses."

Jacob wrapped his arms around her tightly as she hugged him. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, feeling a sense of peace fall over him. Having her in his arms was all that would ever matter to him, but it was something he would have to learn to live without. They lived different lives and as much as he wanted them to be together it would never work. He pushed his thoughts aside though, he would enjoy his time with her while he had it. A wide smile spread across his face as he looked down at her, "I missed you too love, so much..." Moving to stand up once again he went to take her hand but then remembered that he couldn't. "I will get my driver to take us, that way we can catch up properly without any distractions. I've missed you a lot and I want to know what you've been up to all this time."

We can talk more that as well. As long as we get the interview done." She said quietly so only he could hear. "I did here, in fact I even have to interview you about it." She said as she gave him a small sad smile. She knew he wasn't marrying her willingly but it meant that the tiny tiny chance they had was gone completely. It broke her heart. He would never be hers and she would never be his.

I'm sorry that you had to hear about the engagement through other people but I just didn't know where to contact you or find you and I figured it would be best that we just didn't speak because it would make it all worse. It's like seeing what you could have but knowing that you'll never ever have it."
