He nodded, the colour in his eyes suddenly changing into a glorious deep golden colour and he got up off the floor, lifting her with him, his hands were firm but he would never hurt her. “Come with me.” He told her, commanding but calm, he led her through and up the stairs.

Gabbie shrugged. “Colton isn’t my type and he can’t have anything to say right now, after the shit he has put me through,” she was still just a little bitter about what had happened, it want Connors fault but it had still really hurt her. She zipped the dinosaur onesie up and then pulled the hold up, diving under the covers with her best friend and she cosied right he with her, grabbing a spoon and diving into the tub, cocking her head to the side. “I’d have to say beauty and the beast.. cos I think it’s kind of like me and Connor.” She shrugged, spooning several mouthfuls of ice cream into her mouth. She felt like a machine with the amount she wanted to eat.

The pair of them looked hella cute right now with their hoods up and the tub of ice cream safely secured between them, from afar you might have mistaken them for a couple. "Ugh you two are so loved up I fucking love it," she teased, deciding to put on that very movie and tossing the controller off to the side as she got comfy, spooning plenty of ice cream into her mouth to satisfy the hunger that had been rising in her during the day. "I couldn't help but overhearing.. but is it your first scan tomorrow?" she finally worked up the courage to ask.

He had treated her in such an animalistic way last night and he.. he regretted it. He didn’t know why - he was the one that’s had been betrayed and yet here he was, trying to figure out how to apologise. His fingertips slowly dragged up and down her naked back to her little butt and he frowned. Had the devil touched her like this? He surely hoped not. He tugged the duvet, pulling it a little further along her back and ran his fingers through the ends of her curls. What the hell was today going to bring.

Gabbie had woken up spooning with Sasha. If people didn’t know better they would definitely get accused of being lovers, not best friends, but she felt like she just had to protect her from the world. She woke up to her phone buzzing and she sighed, rubbing her eyes gently, unfurling herself from Sasha and picking up her phoneme gasping quietly when she saw the time. Connor would be here in literally ten minutes to pick her up so she could get ready for their appointment. The appointment.. thinking of it set off butterflies in her stomach. She slipped out of bed, grabbing all of her stuff she wrote Sasha a quick note. I’ll text you later, didn’t wanna disturb you x sneaking out of the house in the dinosaur onesie she grinned when Connor pulled up just in time.

Connor had been awake for hours already due to sheer nerves for the appointment that they had at nine. He went for a long run in his werewolf form to shake off the nerves which didn't really work. After getting showered and dressed he sent a text to his brother, hey hope things are alright, sounded rough last night. Just a reminder I wont be able to help cover as alpha today so enjoy your role again After sending he got in the car and drove off to Sashas, grinning when he saw his wife coming towards the car. Leaning over he opened the passenger door for her, "hey beautiful, how was the sleepover?" He asked.

She wasn’t an ounce of nervous any more, she was just excited to see their little baby and to find out what the hell was going on in there because it felt like fireworks every time their little bean rolled around in there. “Good morning.” She cooed, getting into the car she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek before he set off again and she strapped herself in safely. “It was good, I think it’s exactly what sash needed, she was still sleeping when I left. Do you mind if we stop off at home? I don’t think it’s appropriate to go to the doctors in a dinosaur onesie.” Everything was coming out of her mouth at ten thousand miles an hour, she was so happy.

Connor already felt his nerves settle when Gabbie joined him in the car, being away from her even for the night had been bloody difficult. Having that strong soul mate and imprint connection was incredible but it also made it challenging to spend time away from each other, even if it was just for the night. "Slow down my little dino," he chuckled, taking her hand in his and pressing a kiss to her knuckles to calm her down, "Of course we can stop off at home, and I'm glad you could be there for her. I let Colton know you'd be leaving early and he's going to bring her a McDonalds breakfast and pick up Shaun from the babysitter." he stated as he put the car into gear and sped off towards home. They didn't live far from Sasha so it took them no time at all to reach their destination, "I'll wait in the car alright you have," and he paused, checking his watch momentarily, "exactly six minutes to get changed so GO GO GO!"

She took a deep breath, composing herself and calming down though her cheeks were still flushed. I told her she should have invited him over last night, he was guarding the house even though you didn’t even ask him. She’s so scared of letting him in but I think he’s perfect for her,” she mumbled on until they got to the house and she gasped. “I’ll be as quick as I can!” She screeched as she legged it into the house and bounded up the stairs, there was no time for washing and so she quickly got changed into this outfit, her usual white attire but very comfy too. She brushed her hair and put it up in a high pony and spritzed her perfume before rushing back to the car, with seconds to spare. “Let’s go!”

Connor let out a low sigh, "I don't blame her, my brother didn't exactly handle things the best way but he is known to act with his heart instead of his head. Hopefully she can find a way to trust Colton, he's a good guy and gets my approval." Watching as she bolted out of the house he just laughed, pulling his phone out to occupy himself as he waited. Reading Dymitrius text he smiled to himself, you'll be the first to know don't you worry big man! still can't quite believe this is happening. Just as he shot off the text Gabbie came rushing out and seeing her in the all white outfit just about made his heart stop. Even in more casual attire she looked like a goddess and it quite frankly wasn't fair, "You look incredible little one," he said as he guided her lips to his by resting his hand under her chin. Stealing one kiss before he drove off towards the hospital, his eyes flashing between the road and the time. One thing Connor hated was being late, it was something he had taken from his father though that trait had skipped his older brother. "We are seeing Dr Hawthorn, she specialises in mixed specie pregnancies and is said to be the best in the country," he received, remembering everything he had read before making the appointment.

Gabbie grinned, her hand reaching up to rest against his chest as they shared a little kiss before he headed to the hospital and she relaxed back in her seat, glancing down at her stomach she couldn’t help but admire the small bump that was growing more and more each day and it was the perfect little miracle. “That sounds like exactly what we need.. I have no idea what is growing inside of me right now but I just want to make sure it’s safe and happy and healthy, whatever it is.” It could have ended up only having Connors genes, there was so many possibilities that they could end up with. She hummed along quietly to the radio as they drove along, her hand resting on top of his that was in the gear stick.

The drive was rather far since the hospital was a bit out of town but after singing to the radio to distract himself they eventually arrived and he pulled into a parking spot not far from the door, "here we are" he stated. Getting out of the drivers seat he moved around the car to take her hand once she had stepped out, locking the doors with the keys before burying them back into his pocket. The pair headed inside together and went up to the reception, "Mr and Mrs Diamond here to see Dr Hawthorn," the receptionist nodded his head and typed away on the computer before saying "Take a seat over there and you'll be called through shortly."

Gabbie just wanted the baby to survive, and she wanted to make sure she survived the birth, too. She’d bene reading online and she’d read several horror stories that she had to admit had struck the dead into her but she wasn’t thinking about that too much for now. She took his hand once they were there and walked in with him, and it felt like all eyes were in them. They were a pretty odd coupling but they were soul mates and she was used to the stares by now. “Thank you so much..” she said softly, taking the clipboard and form she was ha dead she sat down with him, beginning to fill it out while they waited but it wasn’t long until they were called. “I’m so excited.” She whispered. Squeezing his hand as they walked to the doctors room.

Hearing their names called he returned the hand squeeze and the pair headed into the office.

Dr Hawthorn was excited to meet the couple, it was her first time having a werewolf / angel couple so there was a lot of new territory to cross but that only excited her. "Mr and Mrs Diamond what a pleasure it is to meet you," she said, shaking both of their hands before indicating the seat for Connor and the reclining chair for Gabbie. "This is your first appointment with me so I understand there is probably loads of questions you have and hopefully I can answer most of them today. Our main focus is having a look at what is going on in your belly Gabriella and making sure the little one is nice and healthy. With mixed-species pregnancies it can be hard to determine the rate of growth so you will need to have regular check ins with myself so that we can gauge a time scale." taking a moment for them both to process this information she got her set up ready, "Alright I'm just going to recline you slowly," she said as the chair rolled back, "Can I ask you to shuffle the waistline of your trousers down to around your bikini line,"

Gabbie gave Connor the biggest smile before she sat down in the chair, staring up at the doctor who seemed so eager and happy to have them here. She’d feared that they would get shunned but dr hawthorn was being extraordinarily lovely and making Gabbie and Connor feel so comfortable. “You’ve got that right.. there’s so many things I want to know but I guess I just really want to make sure that whoever and whatever is growing in there, that they’re safe and happy.” She shrugged her jacket off and then pulled her lounging trousers down until they were beneath her tiny bump and she gently dragged her fingertips across her skin while the doctor prepped everything, splattering some of the very cool jelly against her skin Gabbie gasped quietly but the lay her head back, letting her feet kick gently as the doctor began to run the scanner thing across her stomach. Reaching out for Connors hand.

Connor took his seat as indicated, "Yeah we have a lot of questions doc but the main priority is making sure the child is doing alright and that Gabbie is healthy as well." He needed to know his wife was safe and her body was coping because if he lost her.. fuck. He didn't want to even think about a world where Gabbie didn't exist because he wasn't sure he could continue on without her by his side. Leaning forward he slid his hand into his wife's and watched the screen.

Dr Hawthorn smiled, "those are justified concerns so lets start with checking up on both the child and the mother, alright." and as Gabbie readied herself she pulled the machine closer, putting on some gloves and lubing up both the machines device and across her belly. "This will feel cold," she advised before lightly pressing the device to her belly and slowly moving around. Images began to flash onto the screen and she watched them carefully, a large smile forming on her face. She had the screen facing her for now as she ensured everything was looking healthy, this was normal procedure. Once she was happy she looked over at the married couple, "Well I'm happy to report that everything is perfectly normal and healthy.. there's also some more exciting news I would like to share," and turning the screen around she held the probe perfectly over Gabbies tummy, "congratulations you are having twins."

Gabbie didn’t want to look at the screen at first, what if there was something wrong, what if all this time she’d been carrying this baby and it wasn’t even a viable life? It brought tears to her eyes thinking of it but as soon as the scanner was against her stomach, she heard the extremely strong heart beat being picked up and a small sigh of relief escaped her lips as she squeezed his hand tighter. The doctor was telling them all the right things, the fact that everything was looking how it should have and she grinned, though her jaw basically fell off when she turned the screen and as clear as day, there was two tiny little tennis ball shaped blobs on the screen and her eyes widened. “Twins?” She whispered, her eyes darting to Connor to try and gage his reaction, just hoping that he wasn’t about to leg it.
