Connor secretly loved when she called him chief, it was such a silly pet name that she only seemed to say in joking but it made him feel rather cool. As he thought about what his brother had done he knew that if the roles were reversed he would have killed in a heartbeat if it meant protecting Gabbie. In fact he knew he would sacrifice his life for and their future family. "After Luna left from our barbecue and Dymitrius vanished.. I found them cuddling and at the time I didn't understand it because when you've been imprinted on you can't do that sort of thing with another wolf. It would be painful but it makes sense now I suppose." he shrugged, sipping on his beer some more before smirking. "maybe that's a reason why you should learn to control it, so you can burn any son of a bitch that tries anything."

She was always so polite, she never interrupted him and she almost never argued with him either. "See I knew there was something. I don't agree with how they've gone about things but I guess they just felt like they had no other option." Love was love and Gabbie would never deny that. She tucked her feet beneath her s little more and shuffled even closer to him, pressing to him a bit more as she began to get just a little more tired, but she was determined to stay awake for just a little bit longer. "That would be cool. Or I could do it while lifting them in the air by their neck. I could look badass."

Connor definitely agreed that the pair of them had gone around loving each other a very weird way, especially compared to himself and Gabbie. Then again he had also gotten his fiancé sent to a weird nunnery and managed to sneak into her room because he couldn't stay away.. and then they found out her dad was the devil.. maybe they weren't any better. Gazing down into Gabbie's sleepy eyes he chuckled very lightly, "oh you look seriously badass when you do that. My sweet little girl is secretly a powerhouse and I couldn't be happier." he pressed a kiss to her forehead before leaning back against the sofa to finish off his beer. Once a little bit of time had passed he spoke again, "I think its way past my bed time, man I'm getting old." and with that he scooped Gabbie up bridal style and carried her up the stairs.

Gabbie just about died when he called her his sweet girl and she just wanted to kiss the life out of him, and squeeze his face. She was a bit too tired for that though and instead just gave his thigh and big squish with her hand and relaxed more, feeling her eyes closing as they continued to chat. "Okay in future I will hold up the baddies and then you can fight them, good deal." She slung her arms around his neck, grabbing the remote and quickly turning the tv off, she let her feet kick while he carried her up, plopping herself down on the ground, she let her hsir out of the little up do it was in and then undressed, grabbing a tank top and some little cotton shorts to change into.

Connor was now picturing some sort of human punching bag situation and it would definitely be a cheaper alternative to a gym membership - the whole image just made him laugh. "That sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me, maybe you could hold one in either hand so I could take turns?" he chuckled again. As he held her in his arms he was thankful that she turned the TV off, it saved him making a second journey back downstairs. Using his elbow he flicked the lights off as he carried her up the stairs and into their bedroom. He stripped out of his clothes and into some comfy fleeced shorts before crawling into bed. "It'll be an early start tomorrow for me I'm afraid but I'll try not to wake you when I leave alright?" he pulled the duvet bag for her to climb in and get cuddled up to him.

Gabbie lasts had to take s double glance when he got undressed. Why couldn't he be an ugly fat werewolf? No, he was possibly the best thing she had ever laid her eyes on. It was so unfair. She slid into her little set and climbed into bed next to him, resting herself into his chest, her hand on his shoulder and her thumb gently stroked his warm soft skin."don't worry if you do. But please, be careful Connor." She said in almost a whisper. She knew he would be okay, she justbhsdnthis small niggle in the back of her head that worried. She kissed him once, before settling onto her own pillow. "I love you wolfie." She said with a yawn, closing her eyes.

Connor appreciated the worry and care Gabbie was showing him right now but he would be fine. This was what life was like as a werewolf, you trained your whole life to fight battles other wolves start. It's just part of the circle of life. "I promise I'll be careful, cross my heart." he pressed a kiss to her lips before she got comfortable on her own pillow, "I love you too little one."

next morning

Emmanuels voice was everywhere, yelling and screaming at her for how useless she was. Couldn't even save her own mate. Left him to die. Then his hands reached out which made Luna scream as she sat bolt up right, her hands grabbing the covers tightly and her body shivering in terror. It was just a dream. He wasn't really there.

Connor rose before the sun had even hit the sky and part of him didn't want to leave the bed as he wanted to stay holding Gabbie close against him. But duty was calling. Quietly he tugged on clothes he didn't particularly care about, a grey pair of joggers and a tight fitting top. He was ready quickly but he hovered, his eyes lingering over Gabbie as she slept but he eventually planted a small kiss on her head, "I love you little one, more than you know." and with that he left the house and headed to Dymitrius new place.

Gabbie had felt Connor get out of bed, and heard him rustling around, and she felt the little kiss to her head. But she kept her eyes closed. If she was fully awake she would have begged him not to go. So she waited until she felt the rumble of the front door closing and then pushed herself up, pushing her hair behind her ears and stretching herself out letting out a wild yawn. This wasn't her kind of war to get involved in. She wouldn't be able to help, she would do more harm than good. She got herself out of bed and began to get ready for the day.

As he approached he tugged the hood of his jacket up and kept himself low just incase anyone was around but according to his nose the coast was clear. Once he was around the building his brothers voice came into his mind and he nodded to himself and entered through the back door. The scent of his brother and Luna were all he could pick up on which was good for now. We need to meet up with the others, the enemy will be here soon so stop fannying around up there.

Sasha was toying with the idea of showing up at the battle and ripping into Luna, tearing her body apart limb from limb and watch Dymitrius crumble at the sight. But in reality that wasn't going to solve any of her problems so instead she got herself dressed in some comfy sweats and a little orange crop top and headed out the door. Stopping off at a corner shop she bought every single wedding magazine they sold, which turned out to be quite a lot and continued on to Gabbies house. She knew Connor would never have allowed her near this battle, that would be foolish. Knocking at the door she waited patiently, hoping that her best friend would be awake and accepting of her being there.

Gabbie decided against washing her hair or anything, she simply brushed her teeth and then brushed through her hair, creating space buns, one orange one and one black one, tucking her babybhairs behind her ears, she got dressed into a pastel pink summer dress with little cherries all over it and knee high socks. She then went into the kitchen where she got herself out a punnet of strawberries, just as the door knocked and she lifted her head. She wasn't expecting company. Resting her fruit down she went and opened the door, smiling just a little bit when she saw Sasha. She still felt a bit of betrayal but Gabbie was far too forgiving. "I thought you would be fighting today."

Connor leaned against the wall of their house and rested his head back as he kept his senses alert. Right now sound and smell were going to be key because he could pick up the enemy faster that way before he would with his eyes. About five minutes passed and his brother came down from above his head and he chuckled, "Mornin' and before you ask there is no way I'm addressing you by your title so don't get any bright ideas." he laughed, nudging his brothers elbow. "some of the scouts are out watching the area, Luna was right Michael is leading them.. but dad is also with them." He turned his head when the back door opened and Luna appeared and he simply chuckled, she wasn't exactly dressed for a war but it was better than the short skirts she usually wore, "mornin' and I'll warn you both Elder Thomas is feeling a bit threatened with another witch around."

Sasha was so glad to see a smile on her best friends lips, at least she didn't slam the door straight away on her. "Hey.. yeah I know but I realised that whats most important right now is being here with you. Figured it would help keep your mind off of worrying about Connor plus.." she slid her hand into the bag she was holding to reveal one of the many wedding magazines, "I thought we could maybe just have a girly time, flick through these.. Shaun is with his grandparents all day so I have time but if you don't want too I'll completely understand."

Gabbie was about to make up some excuse, not knowing his comfortable she really felt being around Sasha but when she held out the magazine she squealed and clapped her hands together. "I have to show you the scrap book Connor got me!" She grinned and held the door wider for her to come in and followed through into the living room, after grabbing them both a glass of lemon water. She sat down on the sofa, crossing legs and watched as Sasha let out all of the magazines. She reached tinthr coffee table and picked up the scrap book, running her fingers over it delicately. "Look at this, its gorgeous, and we've already booked to go and view a place for a ceremony."

As they continued into the forest she couldn't pick up anything but that was their job and she stopped walking once Connor shifted and Dymitrius followed suit. Within less than thirty seconds other wolves from their tribe appeared but out of the clearing so did the enemy. Just a little closer.. she thought to herself before lowering herself so her hands could touch the soil and a wave of power of deep blue power glowed in her eyes and then seeped out of her hands and through the soil to hit the other tribe, sucking them of all of her protective magic.

Sasha was thankful that she had made the stop at the shop and slid into the house, kicking off her trainers before she continued into the living room behind her best friend. "he got you a scrap book?! ugh he is so thoughtful." she said with excitement as the pair sat down on the sofa and she scooped out all of the magazines as well as a bag of chocolates for them to share. Her eyes trailed over the scrapbook and she gaped a little, "wow.. its gorgeous!" She leaned forward to look at the name of the place they had a viewing for, "and a date !! " she said with a little squeal as she pointed to the hand written note Gabbie had made in the book.

Michael was furious. His son veursllg killed in cold blood. He was a bastard, everyone in the tribe knew that but he was alpha and that earned a ridiculous amount of respect. Everyone knew that Michael was good in his prime days but he was a little older now. He grunted as D threw him back into the ground and his back cracked as he hit the floor. Luna had done something, she belonged to them but it was no longer working, he should have been able to recover from this but instead he was heavily wounded, not enough to stop him though as he padded over to Connor and with sone swift movement, he had kicked him with his hind legs, sending him flying into a tree, breaking the tree trunk and sending it flying. Michael howled and ran off to continue the fight.

Gabbie opened it up and showed Sasha what she had done so far. It wasn't much but she was still so proud of it and she didn't care too much about the little details. As long as her and Connor were in their dream spot, she could be wearing a tracksuit for all she cared. "Listen I wanted to ask you something too. And if you feel too uncomfortable, feel feee to shut me down. But I really want you to be my maid of honour, Sasha." She smiled and reached over to hold her hands hoping the situation wouldn't put her off it too much. "Yep, Saturday the 13th, Connor said it's a shame it wasn't a Friday. Can you imagine the bad luck!" She laughed as she got up and went over to the bureau, picking up some scissors to cut out images for her scrap book.

Luna watched as her boyfriend, could she call him that now? it seemed so foreign yet so right all at once, regardless just before he ran forward she let her fingers grace his fur, injecting some of her power into his veins to make him stronger. It was brave for her to remain at the site of a werewolf battle but she could handle herself and with Dymitrius there she would be safe. As some of their tribe fell she sent shots of her healing magic over them to allow them to get back up and keep fighting. But the sound of the tree trunk breaking pierced through her ears and she saw Connors limp form and slither of fear entered her body and she knew it was from Dymitrius. Running in the direction of him she managed to send several wolves in her way up into the air and far off into the distance but she fell onto her knees by him, "Connor it's going to be okay.." but as her eyes scanned his body she could see the amount of blood and the way his rib caged seemed to be buckled in was enough to make anyone sick. There was far too much damage done for her magic to be able to help and with part of the tree stuck in his body and not enough strength to lift him she had no idea what to do. Thats when Michaels voice filled her mind, you are next bitch, he sounded so much like his son.

Sasha was jealous, of course she was, she was looking at wedding stuff after just having her boyfriend break up with her and then publicly announce he was with someone else and had already imprinted on her all in one day. She would never be able to forgive him for that, even though she had messed up a bit all she had wanted was for him to love him and that wasn't all that bad.. was it? Snapping back to Gabbies living room she listened as her friend spoke and her heart beat a little faster, "you want.. me as your maid of honour?! Oh Gabs I would love to be!" she said and she threw her arms around her best friend and hugged her tightly, trying not to cry. "thank you so much this means the world to me, you mean the world to me." Sitting back in her seat and sipping at her coffee she couldn't help but laugh, "guys! honestly! of course he would find that funny," she laughed.
