why is it considered cringe? I feel like it's normal to relate to characters a lot, especially with stories that go more deep/emotional? But i'm weird so what do i know...

I think kinners who get triggered over other people kinning the same character are very chronically online, he same goes for selfshippers/yumeshippers who are "non-sharing". Like it's a fictional character, and in most cases a very popular and relatable fictional character at most you can't claim them.

I selfship and kin but I never let it get crazy, frankly if people are that way they shouldn't be doing it in the first place as it's super unhealthy.
