i think thats very valid critique, the movie really wasnt made for ppl who dont know the play haha 
i can at least say that at times the costume design looked nice, especially glinda's pink gown, but like that's it. but also i have this subconscious bias against any magical schools that aren't hogwarts LMAOOO

this is actually so refreshing to read??? i didnt understand the hype so i havent watched it but i feel like i'll agree with you

i felt like i was in the twilight zone seeing all the wicked hype, i'm convinced some of the influencers who claimed to have watched it like multiple times got paid off or something like. if you love the story jsut watch the play i beg
